Evren Erik

She received her bachelor's degree from Başkent University and her master's degree from Hacettepe University. In 2006, she started working at Hacettepe University, where she held administrative positions in many units. During her duties, she gained expertise in Erasmus+ projects. She contributed to university promotion by visiting contracted universities with Erasmus+ Staff Mobility and gained experience in business model development. During her time at Hacettepe University European Union Coordinatorship, she managed E+ staff mobility and contributed to the management of the Erasmus budget. Between 2009-2014, she participated in the European Association for International Education Conference (EAIE) and represented the university on the international platform; she carried out activities for the formation of educational network and cooperation. She received Project Cycle trainings from the National Agency and some private organizations.  She also worked as a project consultant and project assistant in preparing feasibility reports within the scope of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology "Technological Product Investment Support Program" and Erasmus+ "Strategic Partnership Project in the Field of Higher Education". 

She is responsible for encouraging and informing those who want to participate in Erasmus+ Program project supports at the university, generating project ideas, preparing project files and providing support before and during the application, ensuring regular information flow about the projects and conducting research on financial support programs and providing information. 

Melisa Akyön

She received her Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting from Hacettepe University. She started working at Hacettepe University in 2005 where she held administrative positions in many departments. During her work, she gained experience in Erasmus+ projects. Between 2006 and 2017, she worked at the European Union Office, where she implemented learning mobility and served as deputy coordinator between 2014 and 2017. During her tenure, she gained expertise in the European Union from the European Communities Research and Application Center of Ankara University.  Between 2006-2017, she participated in European Association for International Education Conference (EAIE), NAFSA: Association of Interantaional Educators, Erasmus Congress and Exhibition (ERACON), Asia- Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) and represented Hacettepe University in international platforms for international cooperation activities and made presentations. She worked as an external expert for National Agency and received project cycle trainings from National Agency, KOSGEB and some private organizations. She provided project writing support within Hacettepe University. From 2017 to 2023, she worked in the international student unit of the student affairs department.

Dr. Özgün Sarımehmet Duman
She holds BSc in Political Science and Public Administration from METU, MA in Comparative Politics from the University of York (UK) and PhD in Political Science from Ankara University. She completed her post-doctoral research at the University of Sheffield (UK). She also conducted research at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) as a Visiting Fellow and at the University of East London as a Senior Research Fellow in European Political Economy. Dr. Sarımehmet Duman’s academic research mainly focuses on international political economy, state-market relations, economic crises, Eurozone crisis, labour market relations, social and employment policies, neoliberalism, globalisation and financialisation. She also took part in international projects at different universities. She worked as project officer in an FP6 project on “Turkish Mobility Network” (TR-MoNET) at METU and as a researcher at an FP7 project titled “Shaping a Common Future for Europe and Asia: Sharing Policy Innovation and Best Practices in Addressing Common Challenges” at the EU Cenre in Singapore, National University of Singapore. She conducted individual research on “The Effect of the EU Membership Process of Turkey on Labour Market Reforms”, funded by Jean Monnet Programme. Her academic success was acknowledged and rewarded by many institutions including the European Commission and Research Council of Turkey.

Dr. Sarımehmet Duman joined Hacettepe University Project Support Office in December 2019. She takes responsibilities in strengthening the University’s research infrastructure, supporting information flow from the funding agencies through different faculties of the University, and institutionalising project support mechanisms to encourage interdisciplinary project proposals.
