Project Support Office
DEVELOPMENT AGENCIES

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, they are development units that have their own working and financing mechanisms, are non-profit, can take and implement decisions quickly, bring together public, private sector and NGOs outside the central and local administrations, have public legal personality, and are established by the Decree of the Council of Ministers based on level 2 regions.

In our country, 26 development agencies have been established with the aim of minimizing the economic and social development differences among regions and increasing the competitiveness of regions at the global level.

Ankara Development Agency carries out pioneering activities for the sustainable development of Ankara. It provides financial and technical support to projects that aim to mobilize local potential on the basis of participation, to prepare regional plans focused on Ankara within the framework of national development goals, and to develop projects developed for the main goals and priorities determined in these plans.

Support is divided into two categories: technical support and financial support.

Financial support consists of interest support, interest-free credit support and direct financing support (direct financing support is implemented in the form of call for project proposals, guided project support and feasibility support).

The only technical support to be provided by Ankara Development Agency;

  • Local administrations and local administration unions,
  • Universities, vocational schools, research institutes,
  • Other public institutions and organizations,
  • Professional organizations in the nature of public institutions,
  • Civil society organizations can benefit.

Technical support can be provided in the form of institutional and capacity-building activities such as providing training, contributing to program and project preparation, assigning temporary expert staff, providing consultancy, lobbying activities and establishing international relations.
